oh dear
really? snow? i am getting very unhappy about this situation. my boots are leaking. my gloves are froken to the patio. yesterday the car doors were frozen shut. the cat refuses to go outside to the washroom. AND i have to leave for vegas in two days and i am very worried that due to weather conditions my plane will not depart.
the past week has been just dreadful....
1. my boyfriends grandpa died and he is in guyana so its upsetting for people because it is very expensive to fly there.
2. the student loan people are knocking at my door. one wants $701 a month and the other wants $364 and thats for the next 14.5 years. man, what was i thinking going to school? this is crazy. i cannot afford $1000 a month. how do i avoid this happening to me? public...please help.
3. people owe me money and they are not paying up man. stupid avon. i am going to quit.
snow snow go away, come again, never.

I'd consider consulting with one of the free debt consolidation outfits out there to get the student loans people off your back.
Note: "non-profit" as listed in the Yellow pages does not mean free. I'd start with the government of Canada consumer protection office and widen the search from there.
Student Loans' still a government service, isn't it? In which case there should be a hardship provision. Basically, the government recognizes that there's a slight societal benefit to having you pay rent and being a good consumer vice sitting on a steam grate spare-changing.
But act immediately. I'd consider firing off a letter to the director of the responsible agency politely explaining the situation and asking for help to solve the problem. Do it with a cool head and treat it as if it wasn't an emotional issue for you, but perhaps the problem of a distant cousin.
Half of what they want is communication. Once you're in touch with them and indicating a willingness to work with them (while at the same time gently insisting that you can't get blood from a stone) they may back off a little.
Ignoring the problem will just result in letters and phone calls from @$$#0!3s of increasingly greater degree. Until you wind up with the bitch-cow I got when I tried to phone a collection agency to explain that it wasn't my debt, wasn't my problem, and that they had not proven to my satisfaction that I had ever had a Random House Book Club Mambership.
"Fine," she said, and hung up.
Easier to deal with the Government. Slightly.

Wow. 1000 a month. You could go on vacation every month, or rent a summer home, or have fabulous designer clothes...I say, screw'em. That's what I'm doing. Hey, maybe we could get adjoining cells.
It sucks that flights are being delayed/cancelled out of YVR right now, but hopefully that'll be cleared up before your flight. And then the snow is a bonus, because it will make the warmth and sun of Vegas that much more wonderful. Have fun!
